San Carlos , Calif. – September 17, 2008 - CareVault, a leading provider of health information management solutions, today announced the release of version 2.5 of its CareVault® Verify insurance eligibility check software. CareVault Verify 2.5 adds several powerful and easy to use new features, including an intelligent eligibility query capability. With CareVault Verify 2.5, users can also export patient eligibility information to compatible electronic medical record systems (EMR’s) and practice management systems (PMS's). Using CareVault Verify's simple and intuitive interface, users can securely connect to multiple insurance companies and IPA’s and check patient insurance eligibility in seconds.
CareVault Verify is designed for providers and billing services that do not want to deal with long software deployment cycles but want to reduce billing errors, decrease wasted administrative staff time, and improve the timeliness and amounts of their collections.
“It’s absolutely critical to verify patient insurance eligibility before providing care; there are so many variations across plans that we have to know beforehand what the specific coverage is, how much is the current co-payment and deductible, and much more,” said Dr. Scott Harrison, a pediatrician in Orange County, California. “Historically, we did this through phones and faxes or by logging on to multiple websites, all of which are inefficient and time-consuming approaches; CareVault Verify provides the accuracy and detailed information we need in seconds, without wasting precious staff time.”
CareVault Verify provides a quick to install, easy to use, and cost-effective solution for eligibility verification. The solution, running on a standard PC, allows staff to see detailed information on co-payments, co-insurance, deductibles, plan-specific limitations and much more, with minimal data entry and without calling, faxing or traversing various different websites. The patient information, retrieved within seconds, allows the user to check patient eligibility and co-payments, apply deductibles or charge uncovered patients prior to providing service; decreasing collection time and revenue risk.
Verify 2.5, the latest version, adds a new intelligent query capability enabling users to check insurance eligibility using only the patient's name and date of birth or, if they prefer, the patient's member ID and date of birth. In addition, even if the patient does not know the name of their insurance company (or is using outdated insurance company information), CareVault Verify 2.5 can search multiple major insurance companies concurrently to find current and past insurance eligibility information.
Once the user captures the patient's insurance eligibility check information, they can then export it from CareVault Verify 2.5 to a compatible EMR or PMS using HTML, TIFF or RTF file formats.
CareVault Verify 2.5 is available now. For more information, contact CareVault at info@carevault.com or visit CareVault on the Web at www.carevault.com.
